Very many thanks for your reply Bery, I really appreciated it as I have had a difficult week.I do hope you are recovering. I’ve not had any problems with speech - yet!
I will get in touch with the Altzimers people.
Regarding Facebook I am always wary of signing up - security wise but perhaps I will give it a try.
I would love to join a Support Group but there isn’t one in our area. I think the nearest one is in Birmingham.
I have never met anyone else with Ataxia so this site makes me realise I am not alone.

:slightly_smiling_face: What a shame you haven’t been able to meet anyone else…it made a big difference to me when I was first diagnosed.

:thinking: When there isn’t a support group near you…probably the next best thing would either be…Zoom Meetings…some of AtaxiaUK support groups are still meeting this way, and you’d be very welcome to attend even if you aren’t in the exact area.

I’ll look for info and send it to you.

Or…An AtaxiaUK Zoom Seminar for newly diagnosed…there’s one on 17 July.

I understand your feelings about Facebook…I‘m only interested in the Ataxia Support Groups…no interaction otherwise.

:thinking:If you were interested, and joined Facebook…I’m Admin on ‘Cerebellar Ataxia Support Group’ and can vouch for that specific group.
