October update
Final call for Innovation Awards entries and Brexit event registrations

It’s been a busy October for the MediWales team so far.
We hosted the members’ showcase on the 4th of October. The event was a great success with 19 exhibitors, 25 speakers and 70 delegates. It was a fantastic opportunity to introduce new members to existing members with a wide range of organisations attending.

We will be printing a new directory this month to include all of our new members. Keep an eye out for the new version at UK HealthTech along with our new pens and mugs!

Our landmark event is the UK HealthTech Conference which will be on the 6th of December. Keynote speakers include:
John Wilkinson, Director of Devices, MHRA
Peter Groves, Chairman of the Medical Technologies Advisory Committee, NICE
Bill Cruise, Vice President Western Europe, 3M Healthcare
Dr Naomi Chapman, Clinical Programme Lead/Deputy Chief Nurse, NHS Clinical Evaluation Team, Department of Health
David Sheppard, Head of Life Science for Department for International Trade
Roche
MSD
Dell Healthcare
Brexit Opportunities and Challenges

On the 31st of October we explore what Brexit means for manufacturing and exporting companies in Wales. We will bring together expert presentations and discussions on:
the potential impact on the regulatory environment
risk management for the exchange rate rollercoaster
essential legal and financial guidance
what this means for exporting companies
support and advice in challenging times
identifying potential opportunities
The draft programme is now available to view on the event page. As this is proving to be a popular event, make sure to register soon as delegate places are limited.
