At the NAF Convention I came across a very handy little booklet published by www.ataxiacenter.umn.edu (University of Minnesota). It was free😊
It’s their 5th edition dated 2017 and covers a lot of ground for such a small publication. The title is ‘What is Ataxia?’.
This is small enough to fit into a handbag/purse, easily understood and an invaluable way of explaining our condition🙂
It starts off by explaining what Ataxia means, then covers a wide variety of SCAs and different types of Ataxia. It explains why testing isn’t yet available for more newly discovered types, and provides lots more interesting information.
So, all in all, a very useful little book, and free😉xB
