Worst Time of Day?

Night time before bed is the worse.
I get in my chair watching tv and you need a crane to get me out.
I have fallen a few times when I try to get up which gets my wife all exited. I tell her not to worry because I bounce.

When I first get up in the morning, I have to sit on the edge of the bed to get my bearings before moving. The first few steps are hard. When I'm really tired, which is a lot of the time, my balance is not very good. Also, when I'm sitting in a chair for to long, when I first get up, I have to stand for a couple minutes in order to get some kind of balance. Like many of you have said, my handwriting is not very good either. My wife says she can't read it!

I would definitely say the very first thing in the morning, and just before bed. :)

I earlier replied in agreeing that a.m. is worst. However, some have also indicated problems with evening. Just for the discussion, I find evenings to be very relaxing. Of course I usually have 2-3 schotch and ice cubes then.lol Yes, I know that theoreticly, alcohol is BAD for the nerves. Still, we don't have to give up all pleasure. Besides, my wife of 54 years appreciates it. ;-))----Silky

Hahaha! Very good!

Exactly the same here..waking up and getting out of bed. Do the washing yourself thing, brushing teeth, combing my hair, getting dressed. I feel immediately exhausted after that and it takes at least an hour and a half and lots of green tea before I feel 'comfortable' with myself again. I even stay in bed longer to postpone, cause it makes me kinda sad to start each and every day like this. No sense in doing so though because it hits just as hard as when I get out of bed earlier. Rest of the day is fine actually. I never get bored and keep myself busy behind my computer, love to read books, do the crypto puzzles, play bridge on line (BBO) and love knitting, which feels like meditation.

So Suzie, you hear you are not on your own. And fighting a battle we cannot win is a true waste of energy. After a sad start I make the best of every day and am grateful I can:):)

For me, it's usually when I just wake up and haven't used my feet and legs for some hours. I often listen to a talk radio station and one of the dj's said something I thought was very useful. I'm paraphrasing, but he said something like, "Look at your cat or dog. When it's been sleeping and awakens, it almost always stretches before walking somewhere". While not wanting to compare myself to cats and dogs, stretching before moving, especially if my body's been at rest for a bit, helps me alot.

Yes .. I agree with stretching before getting out of bed if possible although sometimes urgency for bathroom does prevent it.

I would say in the morning first thing when I get up my balance is off, then when I arrive at work and sit down in front of the computer I have a few hours of eye issues. Double vision, moving eyes, not able to focus and sometimes even read. Any time I get up from sitting for a long period I have balance issues, no matter the time of day.

AJ does wearing sunglasses help your eyes any? I am having problems and find driving with sunglasses a necessity. Inside I bought a pair of FL-41 coated glasses to watch TV. Jerry

For me, it is in the morning after I get up. Once I have breakfast and dressed up for work, I become better.

Stress anytime makes it worse.

Hi am not diagnose though my GP has always believed it's the Cerebellum,

My worst time would be mornings, have to find body parts, then get them to move, It's like i have to get the brain connected once again,, I find i have good and bad days though have yet to figure out Y the difference. some days or moments talks of hen all of a sudden nope can't talk, same with other problems, they are not consistent, though over time all are getting worse.

Just do what i can when i can, Planning is very difficult,,

Now that you mention it, my eyes seem better when I wear sunglasses, at least they are very sensitive to light. I have had to work in the dark or work with backlighting in my office. What is FL-41?

AJ the FL-41 tint is a coating they use for migraine headaches and it helps relax the eyes great . My eyes seem to be progressively be getting worse, if I go out in the sun with no glasses on I have a very hard time keeping my eyes open. I know that the sunglasses help a lot but cant tell if FL-41 are superior the ones I brought are for inside the house and they work great but outside they are only good on a cloudy day, they have a darker shade for outside. I had mine done with my prescription for far distance so they are no good for reading. They can be brought custom or they can be made on regular lenses over the internet. I got mine through a local optometrist so I could get the prescription.
