does anyone know if FA affects breathing if there is NO heart problem? I've read that sometimes breathing is affected do to scoliosis or heart problems but I cant tell if breathing in and of itself is affected?
I have cerebellar ataxia a have noticed my chest feels weird in the mornins when I have been lying down.I have just had some breathing tests but although my breathing is weaker it is still classed as normal.The members of my local support group are mainly FA and only one of them has had some minor heart problems.When I have dificfulties with speech it is the breathing which is poor but I don't seem to have slurring.
