Muscle relaxers?

I have a terrible time getting comfortable at night and can't usually fall asleep for a couple hours. After I started taking these muscle relaxers prescribed by the neurologist I get a great nights sleep. So after a couple weeks on them I noticed a twitch in my calve. Would the medicine cause this? Should I try to hold off on taking it?

Thanks ,

Tiffinay

Did you try checking the meds reference papers they usually find out there. You can maybe just enter it in the computer. and might get the answer. Jerry

o one half tab of 2mg vallium does help me sleep....it is, to say the least, as you know, such a difficult affliction to live with...and I'm not gonna buy it...going out anywhere is like being from another world, so I do what I can, and get back home to some kind of cmfort, because walking is loopy for me...have cerebellum atazia...no one in my area ever heard of it...so at night only, I do take one half of a two mg tab...and fall to sleep just like that...also, have fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis, so dr. told me from mri...again, I'm not naming these thing's anymore..it's 70 degrees today, and I'm going out...without a thought, only the present moment of now...and be zen....like I'm in another zone...so if valium helps sleep come, that's the way to go...the twitching seems to be part of theses things?....gina

Hi - I’m sorry to hear of your sleep issues. I consider it a very important thing. Many have sleeping issues; I don’t at this moment, and I feel very fortunate.

However, it sounds like some others on here might have something that is working for them. I know that I’ve read this quite a few times on various forum discussions before. If you’d like to do a search yourself (the search box is up by the log-in link), feel free.

I did one for you re: sleep, and you can do your own with more specifics.

Another option might to check out information from a trusted doctor and/or information from the Mayo Clinic.

I wish you the best with the things that you try.
