Cassie has been seen here in Scotland by a team called Trac who specialise in neuro degenartive disorders, and work out the best exercise routine. It seems the best thing for ataxia is slow repetitive exercise. The girl also strongly recomends pilates to strengthen core muscles in the trunk of the body which helps with balance. Stay strong.


Hi Punk - I’m unsure if plank is Pilates or Yoga, but either way, it’s an exercise to strengthen core muscles…she can do the regular (like a push-up, but on fore-arms with no movement for a 30-second hold) and then advance to incorporating both sides for obliques???

I’m sure that she mentioned that one’s core muscles help with walking, coordination, basically everything.
