Before anyone gets a final diagnosis of their condition it may be a good idea to look into a long-term healthcare policy and/or disability insurance. In my case I applied after my diagnosis and I received a letter saying, thanks but no thanks. I think these types of insurances would be beneficial to someone in our shoes.
