ahhhh my nerves are going nuts. i applied in February so im still unable to knows of any outcomes.I am however a young person with ataxia. b/ c im only 28 but was diagnosed a few years ago. before i applied for disability. luckily i am still able to walk, its a bit of a wobble walk but i've been taking occupational and physical therapy which has helped a lot.
SSDI has certain conditions that they approve as long as you have the medical documentation. Neurological conditions is one and SCA's are neuro conditions. It took me about 3 months from when I filed.
It's been a while but on the website it has the list that SSDI approves.
I'm currently working with OT and PT and I too can't believe how much they are helping.
