If it’s ataxia support you’re referring to, yes. Log onto www.ataxia.org.uk and you’ll find a link to Support Groups, there are groups in many parts of the UK. Scroll down the home page and click on Newly Diagnosed, and scroll down to the link. xB
No, I’m already an active member of Ataxia UK, I was thinking about peripheral neuropathy specifically. I’ve started to experience a ‘lumpy’ feeling on the soles of my feet with a kind of numbness. Google suggested the most likely causes to be either type 2 diabetes or ‘pn’. I’ve had so many blood test in the last couple of years that if was diabetes I’m sure that would have been picked up. The article you linked to mentioned that TENS machine therapy can be good for ‘pn’, so I tried it yesterday with positive results from one application. I realise it could be a placebo effect but I’ll keep trying for the next few days. I have a neuro appointment with Prof ‘H’ in Sheffield in June and I’ll get his input then.
