Very sad to hear from Bill's sister that Bill passed away peacefully on New Year's Eve.

Bill was a real inspiration to me and many others with ataxia and will be greatly missed.

This picture with his dear dog, Joe is how I shall remember him. Thankfully, Joe is now with caring 'foster parents'.

Bill deteriorated dramatically over the last two years and was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.

It is good to know that he is now out of pain and at peace.

RIP WILLIAM PHILIPS 1947-2014 There are many lovely tributes to Bill on FB and I know he will be remembered on here too.

Bill a kind, pleasant, fun gentleman to have had the pleasure to know. This web site is where i met Bill, the subject on hand controls began our friendship. RIP my friend i will miss you dearly. My thoughts are with Bill's sisters at this sad time xx
