Thank you for adding me to this group

I am the spouse/caregiver for my husband who has an unidentified type of CA. I am always searching for ways to help him slow his progression and make his life easier. I hope I can also help others by sharing some of the solutions that we have come up with. I will throw out my first question–Which cell phone does everyone use? Smartphones are not an option, He would like something with big buttons and no frills. He just wants to be able to call me or 911 if he has a problem when out of the house. Thanks in advance. I can’t wait to meet you all.

Hi, welcome :slightly_smiling_face: At the moment I use an ordinary IPhone …very slowly
But, there are bound to be others here who can help with your query.
Sharing problems, and solutions, is what makes a support group work :slightly_smiling_face:

 I googled ‘extra large buttons mobile phone’ and an interesting link came up. I live in the UK, but you may be able to find similar in your location.
I clicked on a link to www.chums.co.uk… (unfortunately I can’t post a picture). This was something I hadn’t seen before, not the usual keypad, just a few buttons for specific purposes.
Click on the link, then search for ‘big screen easy to use smart phone’:slightly_smiling_face:

:slightly_smiling_face: It’s been suggested to me that using Siri on a mobile can be a good option.

Take a look at this. It might be what you’re looking for.

Hi and welcome to the group. My state (NJ) provides me with a “handicap” phone with large numbers and for those who are hearing impaired for free! You should look if your state (Maryland) provides one. Good luck. If you need any information reach out!
