My wife who has aoall had another bad fall last week. She has a compression fracture of T12 and L 3. Along with her moderate dementia this makes things very difficult.

Falls are never good, I’m sorry this has resulted in fractures. I’ve googled the type
of Ataxia you’re coping with, it seems to be rare, even for Ataxia.
You both need emotional support, I hope being on this site helps.

I think my husband is more scared of my falling than anything, it must be scary to watch someone with ataxia try to get around at best.
Dick, I am sorry to hear about your wife's fall. I hope she is not in too much pain.
