Noises?

I was just wondering if anyone else makes funny noises when they are going to sleep? For the past year I have. They are really annoying because they wake me up!

Love Lit

No but.. I did wake myself up snoring until I bought memory foam pillow - not aware of other noises though.

Take care, Patsy

I get a lot of tinnitus noises Lit but they don't wake me up. I've learned just to ignore them.

LOL ... I'm just weird then! I will try to ignore them!

Your definately not weird Lit. I'm just lucky I suppose. I do get wakened up now and again with my wifes snoring! She's always denied snoring, but how does she know?

Lol ... Since getting night cramps and finding our bed uncomfortable, I moved downstairs to sleep. I have to admit that it was an added benefit escaping my Ian's snoring!

please don't laugh i do snore but more recent my hubby said i do babble like muttering that wakes me up he splits his sides laughing till he get's tired then slaps me to shut up.

Do you mean a snore-like sounds? Involuntary muttering or speech? Or a funny breathing sound - like Darth Vader's mask-like breathing sounds (called Stridor). This last one can happen in Dystonia and other conditions which cause speech problems - the vocal cords slightly tighten and make a breathy sound, like when we sigh, but on both the in and out breaths.

Lol .. you need to have him for abuse! X

Thanks Abby

That makes sense. It is the later, although not sure I will tell the kids the Darth Vader bit, I can already imagine the comments! I can see the dog is going to get very worried now as I sing along with my iPod, to try and strengthen the old chords a bit. I go all day without talking much, so they are not getting enough exercise.Well, it is worth a try anyway.

Thanks again

I do lots of shouting and blood curdling screams >i wake myself and my husband. They are usually something I am doing in a dream usually shouting at someone.I can remember the dream but am unaware of the shouting.I did it way before my ataxia so I think it is just part of me.

By the sound of it we all make noises of some sort! X
