Smart homes and Ataxia

Smart home apps and devises that work with those apps are growing fast. I use Apple’s ‘home’ app (it’s free) and buy products that say works with ’ Apple’s HOME". The things I’ve done so far have been simple. Use my phone to switch light on/off, check that doors are closed. Easy to set-up and reliable. So if it’s bedtime and your not 100% but you can confirm that the downstair’s lights are on and then turn them off with your phone, it’s safer, faster, and very welcome…

Great ideas! Obviously you are of the 21st century : ). I’m a dinosaur but with similar issues (if a tad more advanced), so instead installed a old school ‘clapper’ on my bedside light.
Note that there are numerous additions/changes that will make your life more manageable (a lot included on this web site). The trick is to made/install the changes while you still have the capacity to do so.
