The old chestnut - Physiotherapy

In the past a referral to a physio, however well meant, has not been particularly helpful.

This morning I saw Marcus, who had up to date info on ataxia and approached the condition from a new angle. Having ascertained that my right side is the weakest (I fall to the right) he is making a programme to strengthen everything, from thumb to toe, on that side. I was not dismissed with a list of exercises to do at home! He thinks the gym, and in my case, gentle exercising with groups is good. There is a treadmill at the hospital which Im to try next week.

As Im 72 my wrists are weak so I wear neoprene supports, also ankle, elbows and knees lol

love and light
