Do you do anything that makes your Ataxia easier to handle? Why not share your suggestions with your fellow members? As for me, after over 50 years with this Ataxia, I’ve learned to walk with my eyes downward looking at the ground rather than straight forward. It helps with the balance bigtime.
50 years is a long time! Mine has been diagnosed at age 64, so even with the best intentions, I won’t make 50 years, and that does not worry me. At the moment I find things easier if I am present to each day and don’t concern myself too much about the future. The mental/emotional mind game is the biggest thing for me. Learning to be content no matter what’s going on is a big thing, and often tricky. But well worthwhile.
